Ovidio Lagos was born in Argentina in 1939. He
studied in an English school in Buenos Aires, and worked as a writer and a
journalist almost all his life. Argentinean newspapers and magazines, as well a
Reuters and Channel 47, in New York, were his jobs.
He published two novels, El Extraño and, El aromo caído, and three biografies,
Arana, rey del caucho; La pasión de un aristócrata and Argentinos de Raza.
In 2006, he published his first travel book, Chiloé, a separate world.
His publishing houses are Emecé and El Ateneo, both from Argentina.
Ovidio Lagos lives in an estancia in the south of the province of Santa Fe,
Argentina.
